Languages
coreBackend and frontend languages, locale-prefixed URLs, one on/off switch
Included in coreCore multi-language support for the admin (backend) and the public site (frontend), with languages organized by countries and regions. It is always present; one switch turns multi-language routing on, otherwise the site serves its primary language with no locale segment in URLs. The configuration feeds the public language switcher, the sign-in language dropdown and the admin user menu.
Use it when
- Your site serves several languages and needs locale-prefixed URLs and a switcher
- You start single-language but want to add languages later without changing URLs
What it gives you
- Backend languages and frontend end-user languages by country and region
- Single switch: off serves only the primary language with clean URLs; on routes the configured languages
- Public language switcher, pre-login language dropdown, language in the admin avatar menu
- Settings page at /admin/settings/languages
- Global app timezone and time format settings (native Elixir, no timex)
