Database Explorer

v0.4.0

Browse Postgres tables and watch row changes live from the admin

Install Database Explorer

A read-only database explorer in the admin: list Postgres tables with row counts and size, preview rows, and watch INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE activity in real time through LISTEN/NOTIFY triggers installed when a table is first viewed. Values in secret-named columns are masked on the server.

Use it when

  • You want to inspect production data from the admin without opening psql
  • You are debugging which rows a feature writes and want to see changes as they happen

What it gives you

  • Table list with row counts and size at /admin/db
  • Paginated row preview at /admin/db/:schema/:table
  • Live activity feed with diff highlighting at /admin/db/activity
  • Masking of password, token, secret and similar columns, also inside JSON
  • Triggers removed when the module is disabled

Example

From the README
config :phoenix_kit_db, ddl_lock_timeout_ms: 2000
