Emails

v0.7.0

Email logs, AWS SES event tracking, analytics and blocklist

Install Emails

Logs every outgoing email and tracks delivery, bounce, complaint, open and click events, with AWS SES events polled from SQS. It adds analytics, rate limiting, a blocklist, queue management, archival of old data to S3 and email address verification. It stores email logs and events; templates are now files handled by phoenix_kit_templates, and this package keeps only a one-time export of legacy database templates.

Use it when

  • You send through AWS SES and need bounce and complaint handling
  • You need to see what emails went out to whom, and their open and click rates

What it gives you

  • Email log with optional body and header storage, CSV export
  • AWS SES events via SQS polling and webhook processing
  • Open pixel and link-rewrite click tracking; engagement and campaign stats
  • Rate limiting (Hammer), blocklist and outgoing queue view
  • Cleanup, body compression and S3 archival of old data
  • Address verification (syntax, DNS MX, optional SMTP check)
  • Admin pages under /admin/emails

Example

From the README
mix phoenix_kit_emails.templates.export # --dry-run to preview first
