Locations

v0.8.0

Physical locations with custom types, amenities and per-owner access

Install Locations

Manages physical locations with addresses, contact info, notes and active/inactive status, grouped by user-defined types such as Showroom or Office. Locations can belong to a user or an organization account or be global, and have a tree of spaces (floors, rooms, shelves). Warehouse and manufacturing use it for their sites.

Use it when

  • You run several sites, shops or warehouses and need them as records in your app
  • Sellers or organizations should manage only their own locations

What it gives you

  • Locations with address, contact info, notes and status
  • Custom location types with many-to-many assignment
  • Translatable name, description and public notes
  • Amenity flags such as parking, wifi, loading dock, wheelchair access
  • Duplicate address detection
  • Permissions locations (own) and locations.manage_all; spaces tree per location

Example

From the README
Locations.create_location(%{name: "HQ", city: "Berlin", country: "DE"})
